Nations had been promoting, through various media means, young individuals to join their army units in times of war. This discussion would then lead into today’s lesson on propaganda in the Second World War. In this lesson, students, working in groups of five, of varied achievement levels, would analyze the various propaganda posters that warring nations published during the war, which I would provide for them. The first group would examine six United States propaganda posters. The second group would analyze three Soviet propaganda posters. The third group would evaluate four German propaganda posters. The fourth group would evaluate five British propaganda posters. The fifth group would analyze three Italian propaganda posters. The sixth group would examine two Japanese posters.
