PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

In this lesson, students, working in pairs, will examine the changes that were occurring in the United States in the post-World War II era. While the United States’ foreign policy was to contain the spread of communism, Americans witnessed a “push and pull” factor in education policy, racial and gender relations, labor relations, and literature. By the end of the lesson, students will realize that there were similarities between the “push and pull” factor that arose in the 1920s to the pressures of change in the 1950s.
