PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

In this lesson, students, working in groups, will be analyzing different political cartoons that deal with the U.S. policy of containment. By the end of this lesson, students will realize that the U.S. involvement in the post-WWII world increased to protect its international relationships and its own interests. They will learn that the policy of containment took on different forms – economic and military aid. Furthermore, students will understand that the political cartoons portrayed the U.S. as the powerful moral nation and the Soviet Union as the evil figure in history.
