This 35- slide power point presentation is designed to meet multiple portions of the AP World History Curriculum Framework from Periods One and Two. The presentation traces the roots of the Hebrew people beginning with the story of Abraham and continuing along by following the Kingdoms of Solomon, David, et al. The presentation continues to follow the story of the Hebrews during the times of the Babylonians, Assyrians, the Hellenistic Period, and Rome. Specific topics covered include the roots of Israel (split into Israel and Judah), the exile of the Jews and the Babylonian destruction of Jerusalem, the Torah and Hebrew law (including the foundation of Judaism), the effects of the diaspora, and the role all of this plays in the history of modern Israel.
