I struggled to name this lesson into a more catchier term that gains TPT hits. However, this name reflects most accurately on the lesson. I love Medieval European History because the remarkable transformation ensuing in Europe. The tough teaching part is making this something students can connect to. Well this is the perfect lesson from freshman to AP World seniors.
This lesson begins with a review of the Magna Carta, then students must work together to assemble the development cards in a logical sequence explaining how Europe evolved. I make students come to the board and tape the cards in order. Fierce debate will result! At the end there is a scholarly essay students must evaluate to further enrich their understanding.
