This is the planning/outline for my AP Environmental Science units. This includes day by day planning for:
Unit 1--the first twelve days of the course which includes an introduction to the course, over-arching problems in the environment today and a math overview for the course.
Unit 2--the next 6 weeks are a unit on the living world and ecosystems. This unit includes planning for ecocolumns--a long term project along with biomes, cycles and interactions among species and how it all affects the environment.
This outline/planning guide is for 50-minute classes. (At my school we have "early out" schedules every other Monday in order to plan with colleagues.)
The majority of the PowerPoints listed on this planning guide can be purchased through teacherpayteachers.com. Some of the projects/PowerPoints are not listed. This is because they are not my original work.
It should be noted--in order to get students ready for the APES exam in May, I give FRQ released questions. These FRQ released questions are noted in the planning outline and can be printed out easily from AP Central. BEFORE giving students an FRQ practice I have them do some homework for research. The homework research is given within the planning guide.
I will continue updating this as I finish planning out my APES class for the 2015-2016 school year.
Happy planning! Hope this helps!
