WHAT'S WRONG WITH MY ESSAY?
(There are missing and misplaced apostrophes.)
When students first attempt to write essays involving critical thinking and textual analysis they stumble in a myriad of ways, but I have discovered that there are certain issues that arise again and again. A common stumbling block in writing coherent argumentative essays relates to an inability to apply the basic rules of grammar. Essays are often riddled with misplaced and missing apostrophes. This unit will concentrate on the two of the most common uses and misuses of the apostrophe.
INCLUDED IN THIS UNIT ARE THE FOLLOWING:
➢ TWELVE slides
➢ A ONE SHEET that puts all 12 slides onto a single sheet. This could be given to your students or laminated and kept along with my other WHAT’S WRONG WITH MY ESSAY? units.
You will find my first and second WHAT'S WRONG WITH MY ESSAY units here:
