This bundle includes the following five April Fool's Day worksheets:
*INTERNET SCAVENGER HUNT
The worksheet provides websites to visit, where students must read through the text in order to find the answers. The students will then write down the answers on the lines, and will figure out the code. Once they've answered all ten questions, they'll be able to figure out the final question at the bottom of the page.
*FACT OR OPINION
Students must read the sentences and decide if each one is a fact or an opinion. Once they have labeled each sentence, they will be able to figure out the missing word at the bottom of the page.
Students must read the sentences and decide which type of figurative language is being used.
They must choose from the following:
The last two lines are for students to write their own examples of figurative language.
Students must read descriptions of text and decide what the author's purpose is:
- to inform
- to entertain
- to persuade
At the bottom of the page, there is a section in which they must choose one of the description and write a paragraph based on that author's purpose.
*ADJECTIVES & ADVERBS
Students must read 10 sentences, where they will underline each adjective and circle each adverb.
At the bottom of the page, there are 5 simple sentences. Students must rewrite these sentences, adding in their own adjectives and adverbs.
