This product is the student version of a Power Point that may be used to teach about the events of the Civil War. Please look for the teacher version, which is listed in my store, as well, if interested. The lesson is best used in a school that is 1:1, and the students can follow along with their version, while the teacher is displaying his/her version on the overhead. The teacher version includes several lecture slides, and possible answers to student activities. The student version has blanks embedded within the lecture slides, as well as activities for students to complete. One activity in this particular lesson, for example, calls for students to put the "stepping stones to the Civl War" (IE. KS/NB Act, Caning of Charles Sumner) in chronological order. The fact that the activities are included within the PPT makes the transition from lecture to their completion seamless. I typically save my student Power Points as PDF files and push them out to my students via our school's Learning Management System. This entire PPT will take at least 3 days to get through. There are suggested videos and soundbites within the lesson that may or may not be used, depending upon the user's ownership of the suggested materials.
