This product is the student version of a Power Point that may be used to teach about the rise of big business in America at the turn of the 20th century. It covers terms such as: Carnegie, Rockefeller, vertical vs. horizontal integration. Please look for the teacher version, which is listed in my store, as well, if interested. The lesson is best used in a school that is 1:1, and the students can follow along with their version, while the teacher is displaying his/her version on the overhead. The teacher version includes several lecture slides, and possible answers to student activities, as well as a link to a video. The student version has blanks embedded within the lecture slides, as well as activities for students to complete. One activity is a DBQ, which should be purchased from the creator, if interested in using. Its title and manufacturer are identified on the slide of the teacher PPT in which it is referred to. Another activity is a viewing of clips from The Men Who Built America series, along with a noteguide. I typically save my student Power Points as PDF files and push them out to my students via our school's Learning Management System.
