This Period Overview considers the College Board's updates to the AP US History curriculum, as of the spring of 2018. While this Overview primarily aligns with the 2018 edition of the review book, United States History: Preparing for the Advanced Placement Examination, published by AMSCO, it can also be used with the 2015 version. While some of the content within the two books is different (IE. long essay prompts at the end of a chapter), the page numbers are identical.
This product may be used to help teachers plan which skills and content they aim to cover in the given time period, or it may be directly provided to students who have access to the AMSCO text. Terms highlighted in yellow are terms that have directly appeared, over-time, in the Concept Outlines released by the College Board. Other terms are significant in my opinion. Terms with an * next to them do not directly appear in the AMSCO text, but are significant, regardless (either as noted by the College Board or in my opinion). There is also space in this Overview for students to provide answers to AMSCO's multiple choice questions at the end of each chapter.
Be sure to look out for the rest of my Period Overviews, as well as my year-long plan (entitled, "APUSH Year-Long Learning Objectives & Assessments), which identifies exactly which skills/content will be covered during each period.
