A One-Pager is a quick, efficient way to present information. They have become popular in D.C. political circles as well as the business world. On the surface they may seem easier than creating long detailed reports, but condensing information into a “One-Pager” form requires a mastery of the content and communication.
This One-Pager requires students to apply Period 6 (Gilded Age/Closing of the Frontier) Key-Concept knowledge from classwork and homework readings, to the 7 Thematic Learning Objectives laid out in the College Board Framework. My students complete their One-Pagers in tandem with their Reading Guides (See Period 6 Reading Guide). Not only do students examine content knowledge from Period 6 through these 7 thematic lenses, but they end up with an effective study aide for the Unit Test and the AP Exam in the Spring.
