Around the World Scavenger Hunt
Students answer 13 questions as they “travel” around the world in this unique scavenger hunt. Problems involve arithmetic sequences.
The skills include:
•Finding the first four terms
•Finding the next four terms
•Finding the nth term
•Finding the common difference
•Analyzing the recursive formula
Prep is easy and requires only printing the 12 country/question cards front to back (a work-around is provided in the event your printer does not handle front/back printing).
A worksheet is included for students to use as they walk about and solve the equations. The answers they get to one equation lead to the next country, identified by a passport stamp. You can assign a starting point for each student to keep them spread around the room.
Students love any excuse to be up and out of their seats... so give them a good reason to move around (while practicing math skills).
