ARMS stands for "Add, Remove, Move, or Substitute," and is an acronym to help students with the revision process. This sheet features practice opportunities for each process of revision (using the ARMS strategy). There are 4 short paragraph passages that require students to apply the strategy. There is no answer key because students can choose their own revisions (as natural writers do). This can also be a quick assessment tool to see if your students know how to revise. It would be a great guided practice tool for a writer's workshop lesson as well!
