This is the story of Arthur R. Ashe, Jr. He was born in Virginia and started playing tennis when he was 7 years old. Ashe was the first African American winner of a major men’s tennis singles championship. He became a leader for civil rights and worked for equality for all people.

This purchase includes a full-color and black and white version of the book. Each can be printed out and put into book form and also be used for booklets, color sheets, bulletin board displays, and classroom games. This copy is a single-use license intended for use in one classroom. Multiple licenses can be purchased on my TpT page at a reduced rate. This also includes a Timeline sheet that can be printed out, colored, cut out, then put in order as an individual or group activity.
