This is an fun book written by Eric Carle. I changed it into ASL Version with the signs to the English word. The kids are so excited that they could bring a book with the English Version and ASL Version.
This offer the student an opportunity to read independent, practice with color and animal names.
An activities included one full page of “Brown Bear, Brown Bear what do you see? I see children looking at me?” to put on the wall near a mirror. Also matching cards with signs to play different activities such as go fish, matching game and putting the cards in correct order as the book. A great way to check for understanding.
Plus 3 assessment pages… vocabulary checklist, reading conphresion and running record (100 words)
Tips: Don’t forget to include ASL grammar rules in your teaching. The sign for the word “do” and “at” is not part of the book, but is included in activity card.
