Product Description
Sprouting New Beginnings created this American Sign Language (ASL) resource to support emergent writing and reading These number practice sheets which include the number and number word up to 10 were designed to support emergent writing and reading skills by connecting American Sign Language (ASL) to developing number sense. This activity creates an understanding that there is more than just one way to represent numbers.

The integration of ASL and Finger Spelling enhances vocabulary development and number identification by engaging children in hands-on interaction while highlighting a connection with numbers and number words.

This set of ‘I Can Sign, I Can Draw, I Can Write My Numbers’ practice sheets offers learning opportunities to differentiate instruction. Each number is displayed in manuscript on the practice sheets with the number word.

The purpose of connecting ASL to ‘I Can Sign, I Can Draw, I Can Write My Numbers’ practice sheets is to give students independent practice while continuing to build their interest and confidence in connecting writing and reading their number words while developing number sense.
