Signs for home arranged by rooms: kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, laundry room, and family room.
This lesson is an excellent resource for teaching language-delayed children, hearing and hearing impaired. These signs provide a middle step in naming things the child sees: the impulse can move from the eye to the hand and then to the brain. Studies have shown that children who have trouble communicating often remember the sign before the spoken or written word. Then once the sign is mastered, spoken words can follow.
