All the lessons in this unit have instructions for the teacher and a hyperlink to the student project sheet. Work is for upper level language students. Student project sheets contain step by step instructions of what students need to accomplish. They can be projected, pushed out in digital form (Google Classroom) or printed and given to students. If printing, students will need the links to articles and/or videos.
The first page describes the unit and gives an overview of what should be expected. There is a short vocabulary list. However, the list will increase as students begin to discuss the material. It is a good idea for students to keep a list of words, concepts and phrases they don’t know how to communicate so you, the teacher, can help them discover the accurate way to convey meaning.
Any activity can be deleted, expanded or shortened depending on the time you have in your planning schedule. Most activities, if not all, will have an extended activity that goes with it to offer extra support and ideas to you.
This unit has 3 lessons and one Integrated Performance Assessment. Unit is 7 - 11 days in duration depending on your planning schedule and activities you choose to incorporate. Unit can be taught consecutively or as individual lessons. Most lessons work great as sub plans.
