Over a 5,000 year history 21 significant events in Astronomy have taken place. In this lesson, there is one handout that needs to be duplicated and distributed to students: a wheel time scale divided into 5 - 1,000 year increments. Along that wheel the names of important events/people and related dates are shown. This diagram has been created to show how some events were bundled to show when and what things occurred.
The remaining 4 cream colored pages are intended for the teacher to relate specifics of each person or event. Each significant item includes a question requiring students to do Internet research to come up with the answer.
As a side note, two of the people on the chart, Johannes Kepler and Johan Bode have other activities available for TPT purchase from Michael F. Ryan. They are entitled "The Oval Portrait" and "Bode's Law."
