AT4S (3) US History & Geography - Introduction - The Great Depression & New Deal - 1920 to 1945
Are you teaching about the Great Depression? How about FDR and the New Deal? Let me help you with some flipped/blended content to kick off your unit and help your students build valuable prerequisite background information.
Square Deal - This activity gives your students 12 choices to demonstrate their learning about the topic(s). They can write, draw, list, compose, or even create their own customized way to show what they know. It serves as a great tool to differentiate your instruction in order to give all types of learners opportunities to be successful.
Video Content & Sample Survey - The video content is the heart and soul of the Introduction Activity. This introduction contains 9 video clips that range from 2 to 5 minutes. As your students watch the video content, they can answer questions in a sample survey (Google Form) I have designed for you. Once submitted, you will have record of who is watching your content. Please note that you will have to create your own survey using Google forms but are welcome to copy and paste my questions.
Quizlet - Your students can practice key vocabulary terms and phrases using the free Quizlet software. Quizlet can generate anything from a traditional quiz to cool games that will engage your students.
Optional Resources - This introduction contains two resources and a link to some music from the ERA.
As a special bonus, if you purchase this activity, I can also send you an editable link so you can edit and revise this activity to meet your specific needs. You can also contact me for support or collaboration.
