This lesson plan template is truly the result of insomnia GENIUS! Why print when you can share electronically? Are you a Google user? Drag this file into a Google file and open with Google sheets. Then you can share your file in real time with your observer or administrator or even collaborate on plans with a colleague! If you absolutely must print, the plan prints perfectly on legal 8 1/2 x 14 paper.
The excel spreadsheet file has five tabs: The original lesson plan template which can be copied and added to a clean page, the "week of" page, which can be renamed with the date, a page for the teacher to add important student information such as special needs, an AVID WICOR strategy resource page, and a Depth of Knowledge resource page. As an instructional coach, I find that teachers at my school struggle with rigor. I thought it would be helpful to have a resource that contained examples, tasks, and questions for DOK levels 1 through 4 connected to a lesson plan template.
And wait! There's more! I've added a dropdown menu of language functions for your daily language objective, a dropdown menu of learning supports for differentiating instruction, and a dropdown menu of formative assessment types for wrapping up class. I've included a space beneath each dropdown for you to add your own.
Even better: You can change the colors to your liking. 100% editable!
