Product Description
This activity is designed for a basic high school biology course or a general science middle school course when teaching the difference between abiotic and biotic factors of an ecosystem. The PPT includes 15 slides showing pictures from all over the world. Students are asked to first count the number of biotic and abiotic factors in each location, then they are asked to choose 5 locations & make bar graphs of their data. The first slide is a review slide.

I typically show this to the class as a large group and allow them to take their data individually. Showing the PPT usually takes about 25-30 minutes, including the review. The rest of the time can be spent graphing.
