The unit compares the Rights of a Child developed by the United Nations and the experience of a little girl Olemaun (Margret) who attends Residential School in the north. The unit then gives the background of the Canadian government's intentions of why they created Residential Schools. Finally, the unit provides a timeline of the history of Indian Residential Schools; where students can follow the rise and fall of the institutions.
