Creating materials for young children ignites my passion! It is fascinating for me to learn which of my creations other teachers praise. One of my most popular items is George Washington. With this in mind, I have created Abraham Lincoln as a “book-end” to my Washington product. Both are very much the same.
Hopefully, my Lincoln and Washington materials will help young children to learn about two famous American presidents! I’ve created a small book for children to color and read independently! There is a color and a B&W version. I’ve kept the text very easy, to motivate my students to read it often and therefore, increase memory retention.
I’ve also included an adorable craft of Abe Lincoln with his beard and tall black hat. As an extra idea, I’ve created a flap on the hat for the children to draw something that they would choose to hide inside. Kids think of the most imaginative things: a heart, a frog, gum, balls, a frog, and many more!
Lastly, there is a “Write the Room” Abraham Lincoln with includes 6 small pictures and a recording sheet.
This is the perfect unit for TK, kindergarten, and even first grade, as there are pages that include writing prompts too!
Thank you for stopping by Kindergarten with Susie. It would mean the world to me if you would rate my product and leave me a comment. Your thoughts motivate me to create and modify my products. You can’t imagine the thrill I feel when someone sends me a comment! I hope to hear from you soon!
