Compare the ideas of liberty, equality, union, and government from the two men that would lead the opposing sides into the American Civil War. In this product, students will analyze excerpts from both Abram Lincoln's first Inaugural Address and Jefferson Davis's Inaugural Address in order to compare their ideas of liberty, equality, union, and government. There are a total of 12 excerpts, each with guiding questions to help students in their analysis, including parts of the introductions and conclusions.
