How do teachers keep up with the demands of organizing a high-functioning classroom when students can be tardy, absent, or leave early, but still need to know if the teacher took up an assignment, handed out work, or communicated a change to the schedule?
I use class jobs where one student takes attendance and another keeps track of what absent students miss on this form. The attendance taker gets a copy of the roll and a set of Post-It notes and hands me and the log keeper each a sticky note with names of absentees. The log keeper uses the form attached to collect information which absentees can check when they return.
Teachers, teach on!
