As teachers, we all get the question, "Did I miss anything while I was absent?" If you're like me, and you have a thousand things to do in the morning when your students first enter the room, it's hard to get all missing assignments organized and put into the hands of the absent student(s).
This form has made my life so much easier.
Here's how it works: in the morning, our Absentee Ally (a job where the student takes care of all absent student's work) goes and puts a CatchUp folder on any absent student's desk. Throughout the day, our Absentee Ally writes down any assignments or activities that we do in the correct assignment box. Our Paper Handlers (paper passers) make sure that they put any handouts in the folder (this could easily be done by the teacher though if students do not hand out papers). When the student returns, the CatchUp folder is on their desk and any questions they have go directly to the Absentee Ally who helps them out. I will write the due date for everything due. This is dependent upon how many days the student was gone.
This has made my life so much easier and my students have done a great job of helping each other out!
*7/31/2016 Edit: I've updated the form and added a few newer backgrounds. I've also added a set where the subjects are blank in order make it more personalized. The chevron pages are not updated and will remain as such. All four colors (gray, blue, green, and orange) are included in this download.
