Keep yourself and students organized when they are absent! These two absent sheets can be used alone or as a cover for an absent folder. I’ve used these sheets as reproductibles for many years. Every time a student was absent, I attached a copy of one of the sheets to their work that they missed. This year I decided to attach a copy to the front of a few pocket folders and laminated them. This way I can put all the needed work inside and the student can turn in the entire folder when they are finished. I’m going to write on the folders with wet erase markers so the ink won’t easily smear, yet I can reuse the folders time and again. I can’t wait to see if this helps keep students organized and keep absent work from being “lost” or hearing the good old “I already turned that in!” The sheets also include a space to let students know when work is due to be returned. I hope these pages help make your teaching just a little bit easier!
