This lab is used to help students understand the difference between absolute and relative location. It uses a floor grid to help the students understand how to use coordinates to find absolute location and quadrants to find relative location. I formerly taught in Peoria, therefore the example coordinates are in Peoria, Illinois. Since it is a .docx file, those can be changed. This activity works well for visual and kinesthetic learners.
