This is a matching activity where students match the equation of an absolute value graph, with the graph that matches it, and the written explanation of the transformation compared with that "standard" absolute value graph. Set contains 12 graphs, 12 equations, and 12 transformation index cards that students sort, making groups of three. Each card meaures 3.5" by 4.7" with 4 cards per standard sheet of paper. Purchase is for the file only, buyer will need to print the cards and cut them out. I have also used just the graph deck, and had students determine the equation on their own. The flexibility allows differentiation within the same class, and challenges the stronger students.
