The different types of abuse are explained, and different ways of getting helped are suggested, along with the "Child Abuse Hotline" information. Learning outcome:
Students will be able to recognize that usually a child is being abused by someone they know
Students will be able to identify a list of adults that could possibly be hurting a child
Students will be able to discern the different types of abuse
Students will understand how important it is to tell right away if they are being abused
Students will be able to recognize what abusers "say" to keep you from telling
Students will be able to understand the ways to get help, including a helpline phone number
Students will be able to identify the signs of knowing if something is abuse
Students will be able to understand why some adults hurt children
Students will be able to recognize that the abuse is not their fault
Personal "anonymous" story of a child who was abused
