Product Description

You know that your students should do more of the HEAVY LIFTING through Academic Discussion.

They should have discussions where they delve deeply into content and politely communicate with one another to gain meaning and understanding.

Instead... you have some students that won't stay on topic or stop talking (!) and some students that don't say anything at all. The "discussion" starts, stops, sputters.

These Academic Discussions don't seem very academic or much like conversations.

Wouldn't it be AMAZING if your students had DEEP, MEANINGFUL, ACADEMIC conversations that you did NOT have to lead?

Wouldn't it be INCREDIBLE if those conversations INCREASED UNDERSTANDING OF CONTENT?

Wouldn't it be BEAUTIFUL if your students' conversations were POLITE, ORDERLY and RIGOROUS?

ALL OF THIS IS POSSIBLE- when you teach your students how to have Academic Discussions and give them the supports to have Academic Discussions on their own!
