Do you find yourself constantly worrying about failing students who aren't passing your exams or turning in their homework?
This daily tracking chart puts the accountability back on the student and encourages organization and immediate results.
How to use it:
Share this resource with the families of your failing students. The student will need to print 5 of these 2-sided handouts for the week (one for each day). The student is responsible for filling out the Class/Teacher column each day according to his or her timetable or schedule. After each class, the teacher checks off applicable remarks for that day regarding conduct, class work and homework. The teacher then signs or initials. If tutoring is suggested by a teacher that day, the student can record the date or day at the bottom of the sheet. Each night the parent or guardian reviews the sheet, signs it for completion and turns it in to you or files it in an appropriate binder.
I often give this out to failing students in my school and am constantly impressed by the impact it has. This is a great way to document your concerns as an educator and put the onus back on the student!
