I began explicitly teaching my students academic vocabulary because I noticed that they struggled with completing some work tasks. Not knowing what to analyze, identify, convey meant kept them from understanding what was being asked. I introduce these words as they come up and refer to them often. They are always visible in the room

as a reference for students. This printable packet is designed to familiarize your students with some of the academic vocabulary terms they might encounter in text and work instructions. A lot of time went into creating these cards, and I hope you and your students find them helpful. Thank you for your purchase. Terms of use: For personal use only. Please do not sell or share this packet online. Do not upload it to your personal website, blog or file sharing account.
