This student bookmark allows teachers to circle the student's independent reading level so they know what books they can check out at the library.
I usually print them out on stock paper and highlight or circle the levels. You can also laminate them for durability purposes.
All schools have a different color for each AR level so I have my students color the apples on the bookmark with the corresponding color. This way, they can find the AR books a lot quicker at the library. For example, our school uses blue AR tags for first grade (1.0-1.9), red tags for second grade (2.0-2.9), orange tags for third grade (3.0-3.9) and brown tags for fourth grade (4.0-4.9).
