Do you use Accelerated Reader? If you do you know that each student has a goal to attain before the end of the quarter. After racking my brain searching for student-friendly and motivating ways to track student progress, I found this easy tracker that the students can use independently!
Simply hang ribbon horizontally on a bulletin board, print the percentages on colored card stock or black & white, and number clothes pins. The rest is up to your kiddos.
At the beginning of the year I have my kiddos sit near the AR Goal Tracker and show examples of the proper way to move a clip and to where they would move it in multiple situations. For example, 35% or above 100% of their goal. We may practice together for a few more weeks and then they are on their own.
I call students to my computer, share their progress, and have them track their data independently.
Please let me know if you have any questions and i'll be happy to explain more.
- Enjoy :)
