Children enjoy learning about acorns. I have found that children love searching for them, looking inside them, learning the parts of them, drawing them, doing crafts with them, the list goes on and on. These no-prep activities should keep your students engaged in learning. In this product, I have included a reading passage (with questions) about acorns. Also, there is a black and white diagram of an acorn for students to color, based on information in the reading passage. There is a vocabulary activity as well. Keys are provided. Further, there is a page of additional activities that you can do with your students dealing with acorns. In addition, I have included blank pages with acorn graphics that would be useful for other acorn related activities. There are pages designed for students to record
observations regarding acorns. Even though the activities would be better implemented in conjunction with observing real acorns, they are not required. Also, this product could be used for Earth Day and/or Arbor Day. It is not limited to fall themes.
