This assignment allows students the opportunity to think of an 'out' or an excuse for when approached or put in to a situation where drugs or alcohol is introduced to them. This is so when students are placed in this unfortunate situation in real life, they will have an excuse readily available. A list of scenerios is provided, the students in their groups of three choose one scenerio and create an excuse for it. They act out the scene and than their re-enactment is assessed. Their excuses are emailed to me and I print out all of the 'outs' that the students have come up with and I list them around the room for all the students to use and refer to if they ever need to. A assessment rubric is also included.
