Action-Oriented Listening/Speaking Task for FSL and French Immersion - Les questions à propos de ma famille
This resource is the perfect compliment to a primary French Immersion balanced literacy program, or to an early Core French program. The action-oriented task focuses on acquiring French speaking skills through a series of mini-lessons and a final task where students are interacting in the Target Language.
I created this series of mini-lessons and speaking task for my grade three French immersion classroom in order to meet the need of the current shift in FSL instructions to the action-oriented approach. I incorporated a variety of speaking and listening activities which will enable students to develop the vocabulary needed for this activity, as well as for the class as a whole to come up with the terms they need to talk about their families in French.
I would use each of the mini-lesson ideas for 10-20 minutes of my daily French literacy block, though the action-oriented speaking task at the end would take a larger chunk of time.
This package includes:
-Six mini-lesson ideas
-Thumbs Up, Thumbs Down activity
-Teacher assessment printable
-Student self-assessment printable
