"In the Hall of the Mountain King" by Edvard Grieg-- A favorite among elementary music teachers to dramatically enact and listen to in the music classroom!

This active listening lesson can be used independently or as an extension to acting out the story of Peer Gynt and his encounter with the Mountain King. These pages include simplified rhythms using regular musical notation and also Kodály notation.

Ideas from a simple 5-10 minute to a more involved 12-15 minute activity included.

Due to copyright, music is not part of this presentation but can be easily found on iTunes, Amazon, or YouTube.
