Description
This activity will give students practice in changing verbs from passive voice to active voice. Verbs in the active voice are stronger and more direct. Verbs in the passive voice make a sentence wordy and less direct. Although it is usually a good idea to use the active voice, there are occasions when there is a reason to use the passive voice.
Included is a link to an instructional video that I recorded to help your students understand the concept of the voice of verbs. It will help if you will play it for them before they being to work on the exercises.
