Product Description
This Power Point is short and to the point, but provides an easy-to-follow look at the key differences in active and passive voice. Why is active voice generally considered the "stronger" voice for writing? When should passive be used? How do you switch successfully back and forth and spot when that passive has weakened your writing? What is the big deal with these two, anyway?

The powerpoint covers all of these topics, and supports Common Core Standard CCSS.ELA-Literacy.L.8.1.b

Designed for 8th grade, but can be used for 9th and 10th, as well. As a teacher I have often discovered that these guys have either somehow missed key instruction in various grammatical areas, or just need a bit of a review from time to time.
