Quick oral activity to use the Tuesday back after Thanksgiving.

- Each student has their turn to come up to the box (or hat or bucket), pull out a question and read it to the class.
- To answer OUI, students stand up.
- To answer NON, students sit on the ground (or remain seated at their desks).
- The student who asked the question then tallies up the OUI and NON answers and jots it down.
- At the end, the question that had the most OUI answers is deemed the most popular activity of the Thanksgiving weekend. And, consequently, the activity with the most NON answers is deemed the least popular activity of the Thanksgiving weekend.

Sample questions:

30 questions in total... guess how many students I have this year ;)

Simply print, cut and place in a box (or hat or bucket).

Extension: Integrate some math by creating tally charts and/or a bar graph.

Created for Grade 5 French Immersion. Would be fun in a Core French or Francophone classroom as well. Practices the correct sentence structure for asking a question.

Don't resort to the boring pencil and paper journal entry: "Pendant le congé, j'ai...". Get your students up, moving and talking French! It's way more fun!
