Product Description

This product is a set of 4 hands-on activities for teaching PECS phase 6a which requires students to create an 'I see' sentence. It could also be used for students with a commenting verbally IEP goal. Great for students with autism, special education and early intervention. Each activity comes with a set of matching PECS visuals (4.5cm x 4.5cm standard PECS size).

  • ACTIVITY 1: Ocean and Pets Sensory Bins/ Boxes

Includes 4 activity mats which get placed under your sensory box filler and feature an assortment of animal clip art pictures. Students use a clear plastic cup as a view finder, moving the cup around searching for the images in the sensory box. When a student finds an animal they create an 'I see' sentance using the provided PECS. Also includes matching coloring pages as an additional element to the activity.

  • ACTIVITY 2: Flashlight game

12 clipart images included which can be placed around the room or stuck to a desk. Turn off the lights and ask your student to use a flashlight to locate the images. When a student finds an animal they create an 'I see' sentance using the provided PECS. Matching PECS visuals included.

  • ACTIVITY 3: What can you see through the window?

Create a window using the provided images. Lift the flap and place an image inside using Velcro. Ask your student to lift the flap and tell you what they can see. 10 window images, matching PECS and window image included. Additional draw a picture in a window worksheet also included.

  • ACTIVITY 4: What can you see image (low prep)

Simply print out the image that contains 10 images and ask students to use the provided PECS to tell you what they can see.

Additional materials such as sensory box fillers, torches and colored pencils will be required to complete these activities.
