Product Description
This is a computer lab activity in which students use the following website:
World War I in Photos. This website has 45 high quality pictures for each topic. (Best quality pictures that I have ever seen for WWI.)

This is a graphic organizer that I created for students to complete while looking at the photos and descriptions. Students are to analyze six categories (listed below) that are included in the graphic organizer. Students will have to select 3 photos for each topic that they think
+ shows the greatest hardship
+ is the most shocking/surprising
+ summarizes the category best
(They then need to explain why they chose that specific photo.) Lastly, students need to write a 2 to 3 sentence summary of the topic based on what they observed and read.

Categories that are included in the Graphic Organizer:
1. An Introduction
2. The Western Front
3. WWI Technology
4. Animals in War
5. Soldiers and Civilians
6. A Century Later
