This download is meant to accompany a lesson centered around "Unplugged: Ella Gets Her Family Back" by Laura Pedersen. Unplugged is a great children's book about a young girl who is tired of how electronic-dependent her family has become.
The download includes:
-a survey about electronics to use before reading to grab students' attention and interest
- 5 comprehension questions to assess student understanding
- a writing prompt asking students to think about what it would be like to have a "No Electronics Day"
This would work great in making a mini-lesson out of how our society is now so electronic-focused. I left this with a substitute for my students to do while I was away because it was a pretty self-contained lesson that I knew a substitute could do without much prior knowledge. They all seemed to love it!
