This is a great packet to leave when you can't find a French-speaking substitute. There are pre-viewing, during-viewing, and post-viewing activities. For pre-viewing, students are given pictures of Kinshasa and Marly-Gomont and asked to compare the two cities. During-viewing, students answer comprehension questions and describe the main characters. Post-viewing tells students to watch the music video, Marly-Gomont, by the artist, Kamini, who write the screenplay for the film.
The film is on Netflix and is very family-friendly and classroom appropriate.
