This WEEK LONG LESSON is chock full of engaging activities! This adapted book set, “MY NEW KITTEN”, tells a story of a little boy whose family has adopted a new kitten from the pet shelter. This WEEK LONG LESSON includes one adapted book with eight pages of real life pictures, picture sequencing cards, picture writing cards with “wh” prompts, fine motor skills worksheets, reading comprehension worksheets with multiple choice/written responses, social studies sorting cards, math counting cards up to ten, AND MORE!

1.Given a fiction or non-fiction story to read, STUDENT will match one picture per page which shows the event or action, with 80% accuracy, in 4 out of 5 opportunities, by MONTH, YEAR.
2.Given pictures to sequence related to a story read by STUDENT/read aloud by an adult, STUDENT will sequence each picture/sentence in the order in which the event occurred, with 80% accuracy, in 4 out of 5 opportunities, by MONTH, YEAR.
3.Given a story to read or read aloud by an adult, STUDENT will independently/with support complete a reading comprehension activity by answering up to four questions (multiple choice and written response), with 80% accuracy, in 4 out of 5 opportunities, by MONTH, YEAR.
4.Given fine motor skills activities related to an academic topic, STUDENT will trace, write, cut, and color within the given boundaries, with 80% accuracy, in 4 out of 5 opportunities, by MONTH, YEAR.
5.Given a picture and visual prompts, STUDENT will say or write responses in short phrases/complete sentences, by answering “wh-“ questions (who/what/where/when/why), with 80% accuracy, in 4 out of 5 opportunities, by MONTH, YEAR.
6.Given pictures to count, STUDENT will count and say each total number up to 10, with 80% accuracy, in 4 out of 5 opportunities, by MONTH, YEAR.
7.Given two picture cards with objects to count, STUDENT will choose two cards to add and say/write the sum, with 80% accuracy, in 4 out of 5 opportunities, by MONTH, YEAR.
