This is an adapted book appropriate for early learners or students with special needs. This adapted book teaches students about a chef. It goes through different tools that a chef uses (an apron, a cookbook, a bowl, a spoon, a pot and a stove). It also teaches students the steps necessary for a chef to make a meal. This adapted book can be used for multiple lessons throughout a unit. You can follow up with a sorting activity on items that a chef uses and items they do not use (apron, spoon, stove/baseball, car, computer). You can also follow up with a sequencing activity for how a chef puts together a meal (first they put on their apron, next they look in their cookbook, after they put ingredients in a bowl, then they use the spoon to mix them together, they put everything in a pot and last they cook it in the stove).
